Explanation:
This is a simple web application for running challenges. A running challenge is a race over time between two runners. It doesn't, however, have to be a race against another runner. It can also be a log for a running partner. By doing that you get all the benefits of having a running partner (motivation, someone to talk to about your runs, etc) without having to actually run next to someone (sometimes partners run too fast or too slow or they stink, etc). You can, therefore, challenge or have a running partner (both are still called challenges).Note: pay attention to the links on the right side of each page. They help you know where to go.
First, you'll want to create a new user (from the previous page, click on the "Create User" link on the right). You can click on a box that allows you to be challengable. That means other runners can challenge you to a run. When you're done, you can log in with that user you created. Once you are logged in, your are in your personal page. From here you can view all of your submitted (meaning you challenged someone else), accepted (meaning someone else challenged you), and past challenges of both types. From the links on the right, you can edit your info, create a new challenge, log miles, or log out (thus ending the session).
You can also create a challenge. Set how many miles for the challange, who you want to challenge, then give the challenge a name and a date to finish by. The person you challenged can then accept the challenge and you're race has begun. You can only delete a challenge you create before it is accepted. You can communicate by using the email link, if the email address was provided.
Once a challenge is accepted, you can view your progress for that challenge by clicking on the challenge name after you logged in. It shows your total miles so far, how many you have left, and the same for the person you are running against/with. It then shows all of the logs you've made for the run and some comments. You can add a log from your page by the obvious link to the right of your personal page. You first add how many miles you've run, then apply those miles to the challenges you select with the check boxes (yes, in this case you can apply the same miles to all your challenges) and make a comment to each log.
All challenges are viewable to the public, but email addresses and log details (mileage and comments) are only viewable to the two runners involved.
You can even challenge yourself to a race.

FAQ:
Q:Isn't this just a lame copy of Nikeplus.com?A:Well, yes, but Nikeplus.com makes you buy stuff before you can actually use their challenge system. I, for one, am not impressed with Nike running products and never wanted to buy anything. This is free.
Q:Isn't it illegal to copy Nikeplus.com? A:Nikeplus.com didn't come up with the running challenge idea. They are all over the place.
